An ultrasonic liquid level sensor penetrating the tank wall. Compared with traditional intrusive mechanical sensors and instruments, this equipment has obvious advantages. This non-invasive design avoids contact between the sensor and the liquid in the tank, thus eliminating all problems with medium compatibility and sterility. Using Airmar's patented processing technology, the TTW-550 can automatically select waveforms suitable for specific tank materials and thicknesses, and provide continuous, bottom-up liquid level detection.
The TTW-550 transducer transmits high frequency sound waves from a transducer attached to the outside of a tank or container. Sound waves pass through the tank wall, through the fluid, and finally reach the fluid surface. It is then reflected back to the transducer and received as a transmitted echo. The microcontroller timed the reflections and reported the echo range delay and tank temperature to the customer's electronics over a serial data link.
