Uses and characteristics
This analyzer is also called indoor emanation analyzer, which can be used to measure emanation of uranium and thorium samples, and can also be used to measure the concentration of trace radon emanation in water samples and tunnels. The scintillation chamber is two plexiglass hemispheres coated with ZnS (Ag) scintillator, Three scintillation chambers can be installed on the disc at the same time, one of which is located at the upper end of the photomultiplier tube, which is the scintillation chamber to be measured, and the other two are in a state of avoiding light, waiting for measurement. The position of the scintillation chamber on the disc can be changed by means of a handle, so that the scintillation chamber samples can be continuously replaced without stopping the machine until the measurement is completed.
Main technical performance
1. When radium is measured, the scintillation chamber is filled with gas for one hour, the measurement time is 100s, and the radium coefficient in the scintillation chamber is about 1.4*10-13gRa/pulse.
2. When measuring thorium, the depressurization method (continuous pumping) is adopted, the measuring time is 300s, and the thorium content above 3/10000 can be accurately determined with 1g dissolved ore sample.
3. The inherent background of scintillation chamber (scintillation chamber without emanation measurement) is not greater than 100 count s-1.
4. The scintillation chamber is sealed. When the residual air pressure in the scintillation chamber is 1.33*104Pa (100mmHg), the air leakage will not exceed 1.33*103Pa (10mmHg) within 10 minutes.
5. In a good working environment, the error of repeated measurement of samples is not more than +-10%.
6. At the limit temperature, the additional error of measurement is not more than +-15%.
7. When the temperature is 35 +-2 ℃ and the relative humidity is 95 +-3%, the additional error of measurement is not more than +-10%.
8. Preheat for half an hour and work continuously for 8 hours. The additional error of measurement is not more than +-10%.
9. Resistant to general transportation vibration and impact.
