
A convex cylindrical lens has the curvature of a convex lens in the vertical direction and has no curvature in the horizontal direction. Used to amplify the beam in one direction, for example, to change the laser beam into a linear light source or a sheet beam, or to change the height of the image without changing the width of the image.
