Polarizing beam splitting prism is formed by gluing a pair of high-precision right-angle prisms. The inclined plane of one prism is plated with multi-layer dielectric beam splitting film. When a beam of unpolarized light is incident perpendicular to the incident plane, it is divided into two polarized light beams, which exit from two adjacent surfaces perpendicular to each other, and the polarization states are perpendicular to each other. The transmitted light is P light and the reflected light is S light. When a beam of polarized light is incident, the beam splitting ratio of two outgoing beams is affected by the polarization direction of the incident light. Polarization splitting prism is suitable for broadband and some common laser wavelengths.
