Flexible configuration
 
Epsilon 4 is a highly flexible analytic tool for elemental analysis (F-Am) in a 10-watt version of everything from research and development to process control. To achieve higher sample handling capacity or extended light element function, and in a more challenging environment, the 15 watt version can be used, and even carbon, nitrogen and oxygen can be analyzed.
 
 
New development
 
The Epsilon 4 instrument combines radiation detection technology with analysis software. The 15-watt X-ray tube, combined with high current (3 mA), silicon drift detector SDD30 and compact optical path design, provides analytical performance of EDXRF system with power even exceeding 50 watts and desktop WDXRF system-while additionally improving energy efficiency.
 
 
Quick, sensitive
 
Rapid measurement is realized by using silicon drift detector technology which can generate higher intensity.
The detector circuit provides a linear counting rate of more than 1,500,000 cps (at 50% dead time), and a resolution independent of the counting rate is usually higher than 135 eV, which can better separate the analysis lines in the spectrum. This enables the Epsilon 4 spectrometer to operate at full power, thus achieving higher sample fluxes compared to traditional EDXRF desktop instruments.
 
 
Reduce helium consumption
 
Epsilon 4's high performance enables many applications to operate in an air environment without long injection time and cost to maintain helium or vacuum systems. When measured in air, low-energy X-ray photons of sodium, magnesium and aluminum are sensitive to changes in air pressure and temperature. Built-in temperature and pressure sensors can compensate for these atmospheric changes, ensuring that the results are not affected under various climatic conditions.
