Mechanism amplification piezoelectric actuator is a kind of actuator which amplifies the displacement produced by preloaded low-pressure piezoelectric ceramic stack through mechanical amplification structure and outputs it vertically. The mechanical amplification structure is an elliptical mechanical shell, and its material is generally steel. It not only provides optimal pre-tightening force for piezoelectric stacked ceramics, but also protects stacked ceramics from tensile force, which will cause irreversible or even fatal damage to piezoelectric stacked ceramics. The elliptical mechanical amplification structure also provides users with an easy-to-integrate mechanical interface.
Principle
Piezoelectric stacked ceramics produce deformation displacement along the main axis, that is, the long axis direction, while elliptical mechanical structure amplifies the displacement along the short axis direction, that is, the mechanism amplification piezoelectric actuator amplifies the transverse elongation displacement of piezoelectric ceramics to the axial displacement output by using the mechanism amplification principle. Elliptical shell is divided into inner elliptical structure (R-type) and outer elliptical structure (A-type), and the displacement directions are Z-direction expansion and Z-direction contraction respectively.
